Solar PV Installation for Homes and Business

Domestic Solar PV Installations | Commercial and Industrial Solar Panels | Solar PV for Farms, Schools and Large Roofs

WM Mustard & Son Ltd undertakes solar photovoltaic (PV) installations for domestic properties and larger commercial sites. We work on projects involving buildings such as industrial units, farm buildings and schools, where roof space may provide an opportunity for solar energy generation. Whether you're considering solar panels for your property or exploring a larger installation for your business, contact our team to discuss your building, energy requirements and project objectives.

How PV Solar Works

    Panel Types

    • The most common types of solar panel are monocrystalline or polycrystalline, but you can also find thin film solar panels.
Monocrystalline are made from single silicon crystals. They are usually black in colour and tend to be the most energy efficient type of solar PV panel.
Polycrystalline panels use a combination of different silicon crystals melted together and have a blue appearance.
Thin Film solar panels are relatively new to the market and include a very thin layer of amorphous silicon which makes the panels thinner, more flexible and more effective in low light. They are usually cheaper than crystalline panels but not as efficient or widely tested.
Solar PV Tiles - As an alternative to fitting solar panels on top of your existing roof, it’s now possible to install solar PV tiles. They use the same technology as traditional solar panels, but are designed to blend in with your home’s architecture as part of the roof.

      Benefits of PV Solar

Our customers tell us that getting a PV solar installation is one of the most rewarding things they have ever done.
PV systems, being a source of green electricity, save carbon dioxide emissions and mitigate climate change. You generate your own electricity, becoming more self-sufficient, especially if used alongside battery storage – that means lower bills.  And then there is the excitement of pioneering new technology, and helping the environment at the same time.

      " Thank you so much"

When you responded to my dilemma of being unable to find a company to commit to repairing solar panels I could scarcely believe it!
Then a next day visit, a well priced repair (on your advice), and you have my gratitude, and admiration for your community loyalty. Thank you so much.
